Yes. Your contact persons can enter data manually, for example the length of a newly built cycle network, or Kausal Watch can pull data automatically from existing systems through open APIs. This also works with tools like Power BI.
There are two options. Users can sign in with a username and a secure password that follows common password best practices. We recommend single sign-on (SSO) with your city's existing systems, so users only need to log in once. If your city already uses two-factor authentication (2FA), it also applies when signing in to Kausal Watch through SSO.
Mainly users' names and email addresses. Users can add further details themselves, such as their title or department, if they wish. Most of this information is already public. We have a data processing agreement (DPA) in line with Art. 28 GDPR, which sets out how we process and protect personal data as a processor. We are happy to send it to you on request.
You can choose where your data is stored: we currently offer data locations in the EU (Finland), Germany, the USA and Canada. We do not offer on-premises hosting. Wherever your data is stored, we strictly follow the applicable data protection rules, including the GDPR in the EU.
Your data stays yours. Kausal Watch is open source software (AGPLv3), so you can always export your data, even if you leave Kausal or Kausal ceases to exist. Our service covers far more than the software: setting up the platform, integrating it into your management processes, training your users, and ongoing maintenance and development based on customer feedback.
